Skywood House - Foster + Partners I saw this photo in Dwell 100 with the following quote from the architect, Graham Phillips, regarding the starkness of the interior: “People say, ‘You don’t have anything on the wall; it’s very plain,’ but when you stand in the house the richness of texture and color outside, both day and night, is phenomenal,” he says. “It’s like being in Alice in Wonderland, and you don’t feel the need for anything on the walls.” I used to love this extreme minimal style, but somewhere over the years, I think I grew out of it. But after seeing this, I have a bit of a renewed affinity for it. I don’t think I could live in a place like that, but it’s nice to admire.
